What does the CE stand for? And on the Caesar (APJ) article, what does the APJ stand for? All I can think of is Apjac (Arthur P. Jacobs). So I thought maybe the CE stood for one of the Rise producers, but I can't find a match. —Scott WikiaStaff.png (contact) 22:43, August 9, 2011 (UTC)

Hi Scott, sorry for the confusion! You guessed correctly. The owner of this Wiki came up with a set of Naming Conventions to distinguish between different characters with the same name (you can see his list here). So for example he chose 'APJ' for characters from the original movies (from their producer Arthur P. Jacobs), 'TV' for the TV series, 'Animated' for the cartoon series, and 'TB' for the movie directed by Tim Burton. I tried to follow the same logic for the new movie and its possible sequels by assuming they'll all be produced by Chernin Entertainment - 'CE'. I know it's not an ideal solution, but I hope that explains it. Now you've pointed it out, I'll update the Manual of Style and try to make it clearer for other users. - MagicManky 04:22, August 11, 2011 (UTC)
Ah. Thanks for that, Mank! That clears it up :) —Scott WikiaStaff.png (contact) 16:26, August 11, 2011 (UTC)

King?Edit

Just a quick question mark over the use of titles like 'king', 'queen' and 'prince' in relation to Caesar and his family - are these titles used anywhere in the films, script or novels? Although it might be an accurate description, might 'alpha' or 'leader' be more accurate (or even something like 'lawgiver', depending on how the next films work out)? Are we, for example, sure that Caesar's sons will become leaders after him, or will the next alpha be decided by physical combat, as in wild chimpanzee troops? Just wondering. - MagicManky 01:07, December 17, 2014 (UTC)
