Paul Savage (born September 2, 1925) is a screenwriter born in California, who has written extensively for television shows since 1957, having starting his career as an actor ten years earlier. His writing credits include Mackenzie's Raiders, Laramie (13 episodes), 77 Sunset Strip, Gunsmoke (85 episodes as story consultant or executive story consultant), The Streets of San Francisco, The Dukes of Hazzard, The Yellow Rose, T.J. Hooker and Murder, She Wrote. Savage wrote an unfilmed story for the 1974 Planet of the Apes TV series, titled "The Mine".
