Oracle is a blind female chimpanzee that has the ability to see the future. She was imprisoned by General Thade deep in the depths of Ape City (most likely Derkein). Her son does not know of her existence and is being raised as an orphan.

Oracle foresees Thade's downfall. She also foretells "soon, the sky will be torn asunder and [their] true savior will be delivered." This prophecy may allude to the arrival of Pericles.
