"Old Timer" was one of the many mute humans living outside of the East coast Ape City during the latter half of the 40th century. In 3978 he, along with many others, were foraging in a grove when they encountered three other humans wearing strange, white clothing. A gorilla hunting party raided the grove, and the humans began to scatter. Though several were shot and killed, this human survived and was taken back to Doctor Zira's animal hospital. Like she did with many of her patients, Zira provided the human with a nickname - 'Old Timer'. While in captivity, Zira tried to prompt Old Timer to speak and encouraged him with sugar cubes. Very little else is known about this human, save that he likely died with the detonation of the Alpha-Omega Bomb which destroyed the entire planet (though it is possible that he may have died beforehand).
- In Rod Serling's movie script from December 1964, Zira addresses Taylor and a number of other male humans as 'Old Timer'.
