General Winthrop's Aide arrived with the General, and another aide, to witness the opening of the recovered spacecraft. He later accompanied the General to the military base the Apes had been taken to, and brought a bag of oranges, having been told that chimps are vegetarians.

• General Winthrop's Aide was called Lt. Cmdr. Hartley in the novelization of Escape from the Planet of the Apes.^[1] (The Escape novelisation also named the Chairman of the President's Committee of Inquiry as 'Radak Hartley'.)

• General Winthrop's Aide was called Ralston in the Marvel Comics adaptation of Escape from the Planet of the Apes.^[2]
