Actor Sonja Bennett plays the role of 'Woman on Street' in the 2011 movie Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Bennett was born in Vancouver, Canada, and among her first roles was the 2002 film Punch which her father, Guy Bennett, wrote and directed. In 2008 she won the Vancouver Film Critics Circle Award for Best Actress in a Canadian Film for Young People Fucking (2007). Bennett has acted in various television series including Tru Calling (2004), Cold Squad (2004–05), The Dead Zone (2004–05), Masters of Horror (2005, episode directed by John Landis), Godiva's (2005–06), Stargate: Atlantis (2006), Blade: The Series (2006), Traveler (2007), Painkiller Jane (2007), Eureka (2007) and Battlestar Galactica (2008–09).
