Gary Leonard Oldman is a British actor who played the role of Dreyfus in the 2014 film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
Oldman had been due to play the character of Thade in Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes but wasn't happy with the pay that was offered so the role went to Tim Roth instead. He is best known for his role as Sirius Black in the Harry Potter films. Oldman is the second Potter star to appear in the Apes reboot series of films after Tom Felton who starred as Dodge Landon in Rise of the Planet of the Apes. His other major role was as the titular character in Dracula (1992).
