APJAC Productions
From The Sacred Scrolls
APJAC Productions is a movie production company founded by former publicist Arthur P. Jacobs in 1964. Mort Abrahams was executive vice-president of APJAC - Jacobs' right-hand man and associate producer (and later producer) of APJAC’s movies until 1969. APJAC produced What a Way to Go! (1964), Doctor Doolittle (1967), The Chairman (1969), Goodbye Mr. Chips (1969), Play It Again, Sam (1970), Tom Sawyer (1973), Huckleberry Finn (1974), and, of course, all five original Planet of the Apes films (1968-1973).
- Planet of the Apes (1968)
- Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970)
- Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971)
- Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972)
- Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973)
When Jacobs passed away in 1973, his widow Natalie Trundy assumed directorship of her late husband's film company. APJAC Productions sold all rights and privileges of the Planet of the Apes adventures to Twentieth Century Fox, choosing to concentrate on future projects.
