- January 11: Actress Eileen Dietz Elber is born. Dietz Elber featured in the Planet of the Apes television series episode "The Good Seeds", as Jillia.
- February 17: Actress Zina Bethune is born. Bethune featured in the Planet of the Apes television series episode "The Legacy", as Arn.
- July 24th: Actress Linda Harrison is born in Berlin, Maryland. She will go on to play the role of Nova in Planet of the Apes and Beneath the Planet of the Apes. She also appeared in the 2001 Planet of the Apes movie as 'Woman in Cart'.
- October 19: Actor John Lithgow is born. Lithgow played the role of Charles Rodman in the 2011 movie Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
- December 6th: Actor James Naughton is born in Middletown, Connecticut. James will go on to play the role of Peter Burke in the 1974 Planet of the Apes television series.
